NEWS March 2013 RTT membership
The membership of the Regional Transfusion Team has changed significantly over recent months. Dr Youssef Sorour, Consultant Haematologist at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the new RTC Chair. Robert Elshaw, the outgoing Chair, remains an active member of the RTT.
Dr Marina Karakantze has taken the place of Dr Derek Norfolk, following his retirement as the NHSBT consultant representative. There are also several other new members including Dr Kathryn Griffith, a GP from York providing a primary care perspective. We welcome all the new members of the RTT.
NPSA competencies in transfusion
To assist with the implementation of competency-based training and assessment the NPSA Safer Practice Notice Support Group, one of the NBTC working groups, has developed this toolkit.
